American Idol returned on Sunday night with another at-home episode, and judge Katy Perry showed off another wacky outfit for the occasion. Tonight’s episode also included the results of America’s vote from last week, determining the Top 10.
Last week, the Top 20 contestants performed from their homes across the country, using the same equipment to keep things fair. The judges offered their thoughts from their own houses. The vote was left open to viewers to choose who would move on.

Last week, Katy Perry dressed up as a giant bottle of hand sanitizer to judge the contestants, as a nod to the COVID-19 outbreak. Katy kept the costume on for the entire episode.

If you thought Katy would tone it down for the second at-home episode, think again. On Sunday, the singer posted a video on Instagram in which she wears a giant roll of toilet paper embossed with the initials “AI” for American Idol.
Katy sported the same look during tonight’s episode. “What better way to wipe your cares away for 2 hours,” she wrote on Instagram. This time, though, Katy couldn’t stand to wear the outfit for the whole show.
‘American Idol’ Top 10 Results: Who Made It?
The episode started off with a remote performance from past American Idol winner Phillip Phillips singing his song “Home.” This was intercut with a montage of the contestants hanging out with their families and setting up for their performances.

Ryan Seacrest announced during the show that the judges had the option of using their save to keep one contestant in the competition. Here’s who made it into the Top 10 based on America’s vote:

The judges also chose to use their one save of the season. The contestant they chose to save is AGT alum Makayla Phillips! She got to perform for a chance to be in the Top 7 next week.
