‘American Idol’ is Set to Kick-Off Disney Night 2023 With Iconic Disney Song Selections

The final five American Idol contestants are set to grace the stage, bringing beloved Disney songs to life. Here’s a look at the awe-inspiring setlist for Sunday’s Disney night, which promises to transport viewers into the heartwarming realms of classic and contemporary Disney films.


American Idol Disney Night Guest Performances

The awe-inspiring setlist for Sunday’s Disney night has just been released featuring a set of iconic Disney songs. American Idol‘s Disney Night 2023, promises to transport viewers into the heartwarming realms of classic and contemporary Disney films.

Kicking off the evening with an ethereal performance, the Grammy-winning, Tony, and Emmy-nominated singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles will cast her spell upon the audience with a special rendition of “When You Wish Upon a Star.”

Adding to the magic of the evening, the remarkable Halle Bailey, who will grace the silver screen as Ariel in the upcoming live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid, will then captivate us with her mesmerizing rendition of “Part of Your World” from the beloved animated film.


Under the supervision of the talented mentor Sofia Carson, who herself possesses an enchanting voice, the contestants have meticulously prepared two Disney songs each—one from the treasured classics and another from more recent cinematic gems.

Setlist For Top Five Contestants

Colin Stough, known for his remarkable stage presence, will amaze the audience with his rendition of “Real Gone” from the animated feature Cars. Colin will also tug at our heartstrings with a heartfelt performance of “Nobody Knows” by The Lumineers, featured in Pete’s Dragon.

Iam Tongi, will take us on a heartfelt journey with his soulful rendition of “Lava” from the short film of the same name. Displaying her emotional depth, Iam will then touch our souls with the timeless classic “Father and Son” by Cat Stevens, which found its home in Guardians of the Galaxy.


Megan Danielle, with her powerhouse vocals, will captivate us as she delivers an emotionally charged performance of “Carried Me With You” from the heartwarming film Onward. To add a touch of flair, Megan will then unleash her fierce energy with “You Can’t Stop the Girl” by Bebe Rexha, featured in Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.

Wé Ani, will embrace the challenge of the iconic ballad “Into the Unknown” from Frozen II. Continuing to inspire, Wé will then serenade us with “The Climb” by Miley Cyrus, a song from the heartwarming Hannah Montana: The Movie.

Zachariah Smith will perform his rendition of “Just Can’t Wait to be King” from the timeless classic The Lion King. To wrap up his sensational performance, Zachariah will rev things up with “Life is a Highway” from Cars.
