During Monday’s new episode of American Idol Season 24, eliminated contestant Rae Boyd returned to the stage to hard launch her relationship with fellow contestant Brooks Rosser. As of this week’s results, Brooks made it into the Top 7.
American Idol‘s Brooks, Rae Are Officially Dating
Monday’s new episode of American Idol marked Disney Night, as Brooks performed “The Climb” by Miley Cyrus, featured in Hannah Montana: The Movie. After the 23-year-old’s performance, host Ryan Seacrest teased a surprise.
Former Season 24 contestant Rae, who was eliminated during last week’s show, stepped out on stage. The 24-year-old singer hugged Brooks, saying, “The princess is here to claim her prince.” Seacrest confirmed that this was “a hard launch” for the couple.
During their time on the show, Brooks and Rae posted a few social media videos in which they could be seen performing together. Fans began to speculate that their might be a romance blossoming between the two contestants.
“Truly hope this is a love story in the making,” wrote one fan in the comments of a video from earlier this month in which Brooks and Rae sang a duet of “Say Something” by A Great Big World.

Brooks Made It Into the Top 7 This Week
During Monday’s new episode of American Idol, Brooks was among the contestants who made it into the Top 7 thanks to America’s vote, which was open during the show. He’ll move on to perform in next week’s Taylor Swift Night.
Also in the Top 7 are Daniel Stallworth, Keyla Richardson, Jordan McCullough, Chris Tungseth, Hannah Harper, and Braden Rumfelt. They will all return to the stage to perform Taylor Swift songs during next week’s show, airing live Monday night on ABC and Disney+.
