Haven Madison is not one to take her detractors’ offensive words sitting down. The American Idol season 21 alum recently slammed her haters via a lengthy post on Instagram, saying she’s not backing down despite their harsh criticisms.
Haven Madison Addresses Haters in Lengthy Instagram Post
Through a series of photos on Instagram, Madison shared the bad statements that she’s been receiving “these days.” The, she began her long caption by saying she doesn’t do what she does for approval or praise.
“I write, sing, perform, dance, take risks, and put my everything out, all for the little girl I was, who dreamed that people would one day care about the art that has been in her since she was born,” she wrote. “We live in a new world where everyone has a platform and ashamedly abuses it because they can hide behind a fake account or private story.”
Then, Madison admitted that she found herself breaking down due to the criticisms. She proceeded to thank her “strong family and friends” for encouraging her that it’s not the critics who count.
“There is a reason daring greatly is tattooed on my arm,” she wrote. “There is a reason I stood in front of my entire school and read the Man In The Arena. Because there would be no hope to life if there was no ambition.”
By the end of her caption, Madison sent a message to the people who took the time to read her post.
“You are so wildly capable, and the hate you receive is from people too afraid to dare greatly, so they have to mock those who do. It is better to try and fail, then be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory, nor defeat, because they were too much of a coward to try.”
Madison ended her Instagram carousel with an excerpt from Theodore Roosevelt’s The Man in the Arena.
Fans Sent Support Amid the Singer’s Candid Posting
Upon seeing the American Idol alum’s post, her fans took to the comment section their words of support. Many of her supporters advised Madison to just ignore her “insecure” detractors.
“Unfortunately, when people chase their dreams and start to see success, the trolls will try to tear them down. Stay strong, don’t let their words penetrate your spirit, and let the trash take itself out. Keep going up!” one fan wrote.
“Keep your head up and ignore the haters,” another person commented. “The sky is the limit and from what I’ve heard from you so far you will fly high in the music industry!”
Meanwhile, one fan mocked the haters for being supportive of Madison in terms of social media engagement.
“Keep climbing and daring greatly! And thanks to the haters for the boosts in the algorithm!” the fan wrote.
