All ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Celebrities That Have Been Arrested

The casting of Anna Delvey caused quite the uproar on this season of Dancing With The Stars. Although she’s the most widely known felon to ever be on the series, there have been others.


All Felons Cast on Dancing With The Stars

1. Tommy Chong

Famous for his role as Leo in That 70’s Show, Tommy Chong was involved in two police investigations in 2003. These investigations traced drug traffic and users through business selling drug paraphernalia. He ended up with a 9 month sentence.

The actor had a plea deal and admitted to distributing 7,500 bongs and water pipes through the company Nice Dreams. Chong plead guilty in exchange for non-prosecution of his wife and his son.

The actor competed on season 19, paired with Peta Murgatroyd.

2. Lil Kim

Lil Kim is a rapper, born and raised in New York City. In 2005, the rapper served a one year sentence for perjury. The rapper was arrested after she lied on the stand regarding her friends’ involvement in a shooting. Lying to a judge and jury is illegal.

Lil Kim was on season 8, paired with Derek Hough.

3. Teresa Giudice

Teresa Giudice is famous for her time on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. In 2013, Giudice and her now-ex-husband were charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud, wire fraud and bank fraud. They allegedly made false statements on loan applications and committed bankruptcy fraud.


Giudice and her ex husband originally plead not guilty, but they changed to guilty with a plea deal. The The Real Housewives of New Jersey star served 13 months in federal prison. Her and her ex husband had to pay $414,588 in restitution.

The reality star was on season 31, paired with Pasha Pashkov.

4. Ryan Lochte

Ryan Lochte is a four-time Olympian and a twelve-time Olympic medalist. His individual Olympic medals are all in Men’s Swimming. During the 2016 Rio Olympics, Lochte and other USA swim members, Jimmy Feigen, Gunnar Bentz and Jack Conger alleged that they were held at gunpoint and robbed after a night out. It turned out that the armed robbers were actually security guards at a gas station where the swimmers peed outside of the bathroom. Allegedly, Lochte also vandalized a frame poster.

The US Olympic Committee and USA suspended the swimmer for 10 months and he had to complete 20 hours of community service. The swimmer took part in season 23, paired with Cheryl Burke.

5. Andy Dick

Andy Dick is a widely known Comedian. In 1999, Dick was charged with possession of cocaine, cannabis, drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence of an alcohol/drug and hit and run driving. These charges were dismissed after he completed an 18 month drug diversion program.

In 2004, he was arrested for indecent exposure. Later, in 2008, he was arrested on suspicion of drug possession and sexual battery, when he exposed a 17 year old girl. When searched by police they found cannabis and an Xanax pill, when he didn’t have a prescription. He then plead guilty for battery and marijuana possession, he got a 3 year probation and had to wear an ankle monitor for a year.

He was arrested in 2010 for suspicion of sexual abuse of a bartender and patron. Dick was on season 19, paired with Sharna Burgess.

6. Adrian Peterson

Peterson is a former NFL player who competed for 15 seasons in the National Football League. In 2014, he was indicted on a felony charge for injuring his 4 year old son. Allegedly, Peterson was disciplining in a matter that resulted in cuts all over the boy’s body. The former NFL player pleaded no contest to a reduced charge of misdemeanor reckless assault.

He competed on Season 33, paired with Britt Stewart.

7. Ray Lewis

Ray Lewis is a former NFL player, known for his 17-year career for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League. Following a Super Bowl XXXIV party in Atlanta in January 2000, a fight broke out between Lewis’ entourage and another group of people. It resulted in the deaths of Jacinth Baker and Richard Lollar.

After being questioned by the Atlanta police, Lewis and 2 others were indicted on murder and aggravated assault charges. Eventually, Lewis’ attorneys negotiated a plea agreement where charges against Lewis would be dismissed in exchange for his testimony against Oakley and Sweeting and his guilty plea to a misdemeanor charge of obstruction of justice. He admitted to giving false statements the morning after the killings and was sentenced to 12 months probation. Peterson paid $250,000 to the NFL.

He took part in season 28, partnered with Cheryl Burke.

8. Anna Delvey

Our most recent addition to the list is none other than famous con-artist Anna Delvey. For those who may not know, Delvey, whose real name is Anna Sorkin, gained prominence for posing as a German Heiress in New York City. She used her social standing to defraud wealthy people, banks and hotels. In 2017 she was arrested and convicted of grand larceny in the first, second three degree as well as theft of services in 2019.

Due to her arrest, her sentence was four to 12 years in prison, but she was released in February 2021 due to good behavior. After her release, she was taken into custody by ICE for violating the terms of her visa. Since then, she has been living in New York City under house arrest, while fighting deportation.

She took part in season 32, partnered with new pro, Ezra Sosa.
