America’s Got Talent Season 17 finalists Chapel Hart and Drake Milligan are among the 20 artists who are part of the CMT Listen Up Class of 2023. Both acts took to social media on Thursday to share their excitement about being included.

On Thursday, Chapel Hart wrote in an Instagram post that they’re “so blessed and honored” to be in the CMT Listen Up Class of 2023. They added, “We could not have gotten this far in our career without the grace of God and the support from each and everyone of you!”

Meanwhile, fellow Listen Up artist and AGT Season 17 finalist Drake Milligan took to Instagram to share the news with his followers, writing, “I’m in some great company and am so honored. Thank you @CMT!”

The CMT Listen Up program has chosen 20 up-and-coming artists to support in 2023 as part of a year-long initiative. Their music and videos will be featured on platforms including the CMT Hot 20 Countdown, CMT’s social media, and more. The artists will also have opportunities with other brands in the Paramount Media Network.

The Listen Up initiative has been around since 2011, with past artists including Brett Eldredge, Carly Pearce, Gabby Barrett, Jimmie Allen, Kacey Musgraves, Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Combs, Maren Morris, and Thomas Rhett.

What Are the Finalists Up to Since the Show?

Chapel Hart and Drake Milligan were two country acts to be reckoned with on Season 17 of America’s Got Talent earlier this year. Chapel Hart finished the competition in fifth place, while Drake Milligan came in third.

Since the show, Chapel Hart has made their Grand Ole Opry debut. In October, lead singer Danica Hart underwent vocal cord surgery. The group announced last month that they’re heading out on their Glory Days Tour next year.

Drake Milligan, meanwhile, released his debut album Dallas/Forth Worth shortly after the AGT finale earlier this year. In recent months, the singer has been performing around the United States. He has several more shows lined up through the end of the year in cities like Las Vegas and Nashville.
