‘AGT’ Winner Darci Lynne Farmer Lands First Movie Role
Filming for A Cowgirl’s Song began on May 19 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Darci is actually from Oklahoma, so it’s awesome to see this hometown girl land this role. The film is the fourth in Timothy Armstrong’s Cowgirls ‘N Angels series.
It tells the story of a young singer living with her grandmother who once had a huge country music career of her own. After the death of the grandfather, the pair navigate their new lives and bond over the generational power of music.
Darci will be playing the role of Brooke James in the film. She expressed her excitement in an Instagram video heading to the movie set for the very first time. The ventriloquist promised her fans that there will be plenty of behind-the-scenes content coming their way soon.
“SO EXCITEDDD AHHHH CONGRATS,” Season 12 ‘AGT’ runner-up Angelica Hale wrote on the post.
Prior to announcing the movie news, Darci told her fans that she will be performing at the Elkhart County 4H Fair in Goshen, Indiana on July 28th. Tickets will be available for purchase on Friday, May 28th at 1 p.m. ET.
This performance is part of her 2021 Fresh Out of the Box Tour. Tour dates run all the way through March 2022. Darci has been one of the most successful winners of ‘AGT’ over the years, so you might want to run to purchase tickets to her tour if you haven’t already.
Darci was even brought back for ‘AGT: Champions,’ finishing the competition in second place behind Shin Lim. Since then, she has performed on multiple talk shows, hosted her own television special, and earned 2.6 million TikTok followers.
