‘AGT’ Winner Brandon Leake Robbed of Car, Laptop, Hard Drive — Announces New Era

America’s Got Talent season 15 winner Brandon Leake was robbed of his car, laptop, and hard drives. The spoken word poet has recently shared the unfortunate experience on Instagram.

On September 9, Leake revealed that someone stole his vehicle and creative devices. The season 15 champion didn’t elaborate much about the incident but informed his fans that he was able to get his car back.
“I found my car and recovered it, but the laptop no such luck,” he wrote. “In moments like this I normally would let it dictate that my day was a loss that it wouldn’t be worth trying to make anything out of the rest of the day. But I believe in a God that has granted me more seconds, minutes, and hours that all have value.”
Leake continued, telling his followers that they must not let “these types of moments” stop them. He then stated that God can make something beautiful out of such bad situations.
Upon finding out the bad news, his fans quickly took to the comment section, to send their messages of concern. Many also praised how Leake has handled the incident.
“That’s terrible news but the outlook on it is beautiful. Finding that’s silver lining can be tough, I’m glad you did brother!” one person wrote.
“Sorry this happened to you. Keep up the faith my friend. We all love you,” another fan stated.
Several of his followers were also relieved that Leake was able to recover his car. Meanwhile, America’s Got Talent host Terry Crews also sent his reaction to the spoken word poet’s news.
“Glad you’re okay man,” he said.
Ahead of the unlucky incident, Leake released his spoken word play on various audio-streaming platforms. Titled “Insomnia,” this piece “walks through a college senior’s late-night woes, a battle with his own inner demons.”
He Announces Plan to Post Poetry Weekly
Soon after sharing the bad news, Leake announced his upcoming creative plans. Apparently, the poet would like to commit to posting his compositions week by week.
“I still would like to give y’all some of what you love and found me with. So starting Monday (If my back up and hard drive don’t fail) I will be posting poetry weekly from the tour I just completed,” he wrote.
The spoken word artist is also offering early access, exclusive content, and private digital hangouts.
According to Leake, things in his live have been “changing pretty fast.” Even though he cannot fully explain his emotions, Leake stated that his happiness is perhaps God’s work or because of his consistent communication with his family. Nonetheless, Leake provided a possible change regarding poetry.
“But being honest, I don’t know if I will return to poetry as I once courted her. The truth is at this point I don’t even know if I want that. But as the good book says ‘Tomorrow will worry about itself.’ So until then look forward to content but also so very new different things from me,” he said.
