America’s Got Talent, The Voice And Masked Singer — Who Won at The Teen Choice Awards?
Reading Time: 2 minutes
AGT won big at the Teen Choice Awards this weekend, beating out fellow talent shows The Voice and The Masked Singer. In the category of Choice Reality TV Show, America’s Got Talent came out on top.
Other nominees in the category included Queer Eye, Lip Sync Battle, and Keeping Up With the Kardashians. But it looks like the teens prefer AGT. The show’s stars, including judges Julianne Hough and Howie Mandel, tweeted their excitement over the big win on Sunday night. Howie in particular thanked his “FANdels” for voting.
‘AGT’ Judge Gabrielle Union Also Wins At Teen Choice
The show itself wasn’t the only one to win at Sunday’s ceremony. New judge Gabrielle Union also took home the award for Choice Action TV Actress, for her role as Sydney “Syd” Burnett on L.A.’s Finest.
Gabrielle beat out her co-star Jessica Alba, as well as actresses Melissa Benoist, Danielle Panabaker, Candice Patton, and Emily Bett Rickards. Gabrielle shared her excitement over the win on Twitter Sunday night, adding a flexing muscle emoji.
AGT Is A Hit With Teens And Kids Alike
America’s Got Talent is apparently quite popular with young audiences. Not only did it win the teens’ vote, but it also won big at the Kids’ Choice Awards back in March.
The show won Favorite Reality Show and Favorite TV Judges. The wins inspired Howie Mandel to challenge his followers to a PhotoShop battle, putting his face on a Kids’ Choice blimp.
So far, Howie hasn’t started a similar challenge for the Teen Choice surfboard, although we would love to see what fans could come up with.
