‘America’s Got Talent’ Wins Big At Kids’ Choice, Inspires A Howie Mandel Photoshop Battle
Trae Patton/NBC America’s Got Talent won two categories at the Kids’ Choice Awards this weekend, and judge Howie Mandel was especially excited. In fact, he challenged his Twitter followers to a silly Photoshop battle to celebrate.
In case you missed it, AGT won the awards for both Favorite Reality Show and Favorite TV Judges. They beat the judges on American Idol, The Voice, The Four, Dancing With the Stars, and World of Dance. Not too shabby, AGT! (Of course, this beloved judging panel will be slightly different next season. But maybe it will be just as much of a hit with young viewers.)
Both Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel tweeted their excitement and thanks over the Kids’ Choice wins. But Howie went a step further by posing a challenge to his devoted Fandels.
“Who’s going to be the first person to put my face on a #KCA blimp award?” he asked. Creative Twitter users answered. Several people replied with their funny Photoshop creations. One person even made Howie’s head into the shape of a blimp, while another put the blimp version of him in host DJ Khaled’s hands.
Howie even retweeted a few of his fans’ creations, saying one of them was “better than an Oscar” and using the hashtag #Howielodeon. There might be a tendency among some stars to disregard the Kids’ Choice Awards as silly or unimportant. So we’re glad to see Howie embracing it so much.
It’s not the first time social media battle Howie Mandel has participated in. In January, both he and AGT: The Champions host Terry Crews tried to make their bald heads the most-liked images on Instagram. (They were inspired by that record-breaking egg photo.) Howie even posted a Photoshopped image of their two eggheads together.
Here’s hoping Howie and Terry get up to even more viral shenanigans when Terry joins the regular season of America’s Got Talent this summer.
