America’s Got Talent fan-favorite Bad Salsa recently took their shot in Romanii Au Talent to show an impressive acrobatic-salsa routine. Consequently, they’ve received a Golden Buzzer from the series’ hosts.
Bad Salsa Joins Romania’s Got Talent
Coming from India, Bad Salsa consists of 23-year-old Bivash Sardar and 13-year-old Sri Janak. Before their preliminary performance, the two shared that they came to Romania’s Got Talent to represent their country and dance an “evil salsa.” They then proceeded to perform a spectacular dance number, a salsa incorporated with gymnastics and acrobatics.
Such audition surprised the whole auditorium, thus receiving a standing ovation from the judges and the audiences. According to judge Dragos Bucur, Bad Salsa has “something else,” one he believes to be modesty.
“These two people are very cool,” he said. “They put on a show. I can’t believe she’s 13. And they have something else. I think it’s something characteristic of Indians: they have modesty (translated in English).”
For those who may not know, Bad Salsa won India’s Got Talent season 4. They subsequently joined America’s Got Talent season 15, finishing in the bottom 5 of the Top 10.
They Received a Golden Buzzer from Smiley and Pavel Bartos
Hosts Smiley and Pavel Bartoș didn’t use much words in praising the performance of the two. Instead, they decided to press their Golden Buzzer, sending Bad Salsa straight to the Semi-Finals.
“These two were beyond incredible,” said judge Andi Moisescu (translated to English). “It seemed to me that salsa had gone where I didn’t even think it would ever reach.”
According to the show, Bivash and Sri train eight to 12 hours a day to perfect their performances. Their schedules are very strict, and they follow an equally meticulous diet. Now that Bad Salsa has advanced to the live shows, audience and viewers are probably expecting a lot. This puts pressure on the dancing duo now, but such shall hopefully motivate the two to dream on more than ever.
