Adam Levine is returning to The Voice for Season 27, after stepping away from the show for several years. In a new video released by the show, Levine reacts to several iconic moments from his time as a coach.

Adam Levine Reacts to His Iconic The Voice Moments

Levine started the video by reacting to several of his winning moments — including Season 1’s winning artist Javier Colon. The Maroon 5 star said seeing it “brings back a lot of memories,” adding, “To have won the first season of The Voice, it’s like, you can’t ever take that away from me. It’s pretty cool.”

Also featured was a video of Season 5 winner Tessanne Chin thanking Levine for being her coach. As Levine shared, “It feels so good to feel like you’ve really been a part of someone’s run to the end of this thing. It’s a really cool feeling to feel like you helped coach them to that place.”

Levine also watched Jordan Smith’s winning moment in Season 9, calling Smith “one of the best singers I’ve ever heard in my life.” He called Smith’s victory “a really special one,” adding, “I don’t know if The Voice before or after that has had anybody as great as Jordan.”

When watching clips of himself asking artists to join his team, Levine marveled that he actually used to stand on his chair, saying it “sounds exhausting.” He joked that he was “so thirsty” for the show’s artists to pick him as their coach.

Levine Jokes ‘Hate Him’ About Blake Shelton

Levine also reacted to a clip from the show in which he pretended to audition and got the other coaches to turn around for him. After Levine chose to join Christina Aguilera’s team, Blake Shelton joked that he only turned around “to see what the freak looked like.”

“Ugh, Blake Shelton. Wow. Yeah. Hate him,” Levine said of the former coach. “There’s only one question, since day one of shooting The Voice, that I am ever asked … The only question that anyone ever asks me is, ‘What is Blake like?’ And I hate it.”

Levine added, “Love him, though. Oh, no. Sorry. Hate him.” Unfortunately, the returning coach won’t get to banter with his bestie during Season 27, since Shelton has since left the show. Instead, Levine will appear alongside John Legend, Michael Bublé, and new coach Kelsea Ballerini when the season premieres on Monday, February 3, on NBC.
