For this week’s Maxi Challenge on RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, the queens had to write and star in a commercial about having a side hustle. Fans know that the queens always dread team challenges. One team proved to be a sinking ship which led to one of the most epic lip-syncs in the show’s history.

‘RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars’ Acting Challenge Causes Top Queens to Fall Flat

Ginger Minj, A’Keria C. Davenport, Silky Nutmeg Ganache, and Jan were put on a team together. Silky was pretty annoyed with the busy commercial that the group came up with. She felt like it was way too complicated and should’ve been simpler. Silky decided not to speak up because she didn’t want to get a bad rep like she did in Season 11. It was clear the second that the group started filming the commercial that Silky’s fears were coming true.

This group was all over the place with their scenes and lines. A’Keria flubbed her lines pretty badly. Ginger was the real star of the show with multiple outfit changes and roles. After the commercial was filmed, Silky freaked out because she felt like she was fading into the background. This group ended up in the bottom this week which is totally not a surprise.

Pandora Boxx, Trinity K. Bonet, Ra’Jah Ohara, and Yara Sofia were the top team of this challenge. Their commercial was absolutely hilarious. Trinity had the most perfect one-liners. Yara was her usual wild self and the judges couldn’t get enough. Trinity was named the winner of the challenge.

The queens also partook in a RuDemption Runway where they elevated one of their looks from the past. Jan looked very matronly in a floor-length sequins gown. This is sad because her looks in the other episodes are great. Ginger also fell flat with her silver one-piece runway look. A’Keria did a great job of elevating her butterfly caftan look. This time, she was absolutely serving caftan realness.

Trinity Lets Loose on the Queens Backstage

Trinity has never won a challenge on RuPaul’s Drag Race before. Instead of all of the queens congratulating her, they all immediately came into the room to plead their case. Everybody obviously wants to stay in the competition. It was super wrong to gloss over Trinity’s win, especially after she landed in the bottom in the first episode. The queens were basically treating Trinity like she was invisible.

Trinity came at the girls for not praising her for the win. Honestly, she had every right to be mad at them, especially because she had a chance to send one of them home. Jan was freaking out because she got sent home in the commercial challenge in Season 12. A’Keria felt she and Silky were actually the bottom two. Silky made a point to mention that Jan did bad in the challenge too. Silky was kind of word vomiting at this point and also called out Ginger for her unpolished look.

An Iconic Lip-Sync Assassin Goes Missing on the Main Stage

When it was time for the lip-sync, Trinity stood on the stage waiting for her opponent to walk out. The curtain rose and everyone was expecting to see a queen from a previous season standing there. To their surprise, the stage was empty and the queen was nowhere to be found. Confusion fell over the room. Michelle Visage jokingly said she would step in to do the lip-sync. It’s not every day that a queen goes missing on this show.

Finally, like a superhero flying through the sky, RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 6 star Laganja Estranja flew down from the ceiling and landed in a split. This was literally the most iconic moment from the season so far. RuPaul has never cackled louder. Trinity and Laganja performed in a lip-sync to “Physical” by Dua Lipa.

Laganja commanded the stage and had a captivating outfit reveal. She also did about 50 death drops and splits. RuPaul labeled this as a “lip-sync that will never be forgotten.” Laganja was the clear winner. She revealed that the queens voted to send Silky home. The eliminated queens will most likely be returning at some point for a chance to battle their way back into the competition.
