Yes, you read that headline right. After five years of dating, Blake Shelton finally proposed to Gwen Stefani over the weekend and of course she said yes! This is what Shefani fans have been waiting for since the pair first took their relationship public in 2015.
Blake Shelton And Gwen Stefani Announced Their Engagement
Gwen showed off the ring on Instagram in a sweet smooching snap. The pair wore matching baseball caps as they posed together to announce the news of their engagement. She simply captioned the post “yes please” and tagged her new fiance. The simple ring glimmered in the light with a sparkling diamond. The comments section is filled with sheer happiness and well wishes for the couple. Blake reposted the same image on his Instagram account with the caption “Hey @gwenstefani thanks for saving my 2020… And the rest of my life.. I love you. I heard a YES!” Um does it get more adorable than this?

The pair recently purchased a $13.2 million love nest together in Encino, California. This came after they quarantined together for months at Blake’s ranch in Oklahoma with several of their family members. “When I was going through my divorce and just, you know, hit rock bottom … it’s a miracle that I met somebody that was going through the same exact thing that I was at the same exact moment in time,” Blake told Willie Geist on Sunday Today about falling in love with Gwen. She definitely saved his life and he has always spoken publicly about that.

“You know what, I love weddings. The kids love him, we love him, everybody loves him,” Gwen told Ellen DeGeneres back in 2018 when addressing engagement rumors. It seems like almost every interview the two did, an engagement was always something that was talked about but they always managed to dance around it.
