Sharon Osbourne Will Only Be On ‘The X Factor UK’s Live Shows

Sharon Osbourne has been on The X Factor UK‘s judging panel for what feels like forever. The legendary manager has said in the past couple of years that she wants to scale back a bit and eventually retire along with her husband Ozzy Osbourne. It looks like she’s taking a step in that direction.
Sharon made a deal with ITV that she will only appear on the show after the live shows begin. That means she will not be there for the auditions or pre-taped early rounds. I assume they’ll bring someone like Alesha Dixon or something to fill in during those weeks. Of course, Sharon is now fool and she’s still receiving a million pounds for her troubles. That’s the same money for half the work. Smart.
This is all part of the shake-up that Simon Cowell and the other producers are trying to help with the show’s poor ratings. Nicole Scherzinger will not return to the show and they’ve also changed a lot of the format to make it more exciting. I don’t know that cutting back on Sharon is the answer, but if she wants to spend more time off I get that. She’s had cancer and very public marital troubles in the last few years and I can see her wanting hang out at home.
