BTS Will Perform At The Grammys — Although this One Member Won’t!
Reading Time: 2 minutes
After announcing a short break in August, and a quick reunion in September, beloved Korean boy band BTS has been busier than ever, and now they’re preparing for what’s sure to be an unforgettable performance at the Grammys.
On Thursday, the Recording Academy announced that BTS would be joining Billy Ray Cyrus and Lil Nas X for a special rendition of “Old Town Road” which they’re calling “Old Town Road All-Stars.”
BTS will be joined by artists like Diplo and Mason Ramsey.
With so many artists doing remixes of the famous song, a rendition with the original artists, as well as artists who’ve covered the hit, like RM, Diplo, and Mason Ramsey, will surely make for some epic Grammys entertainment.
But, there’s a bit of drama surrounding who, exactly, in BTS will be performing. Originally, it was reported that only one member of the band, rapper RM, would be in the segment. After all, RM was the only one in BTS to collaborate with Lil Nas X on a remix of the song, “Seoul Town Road.”

However, to the delight of BTS fans, the Recording Academy announced recently that the whole band would be there.
Which member is missing from BTS?
But hold those horses, BTS ARMY, because Ariana Grande’s January 22nd Twitter post, taken at what we can only assume is a Grammys rehearsal, has fans asking: Where’s the band’s seventh member, Suga?
In fact, so many fans noticed the absence, that Ariana’s post filled with comments containing doctored photos like these, where band member Suga (AKA Min Yoongi) is photo shopped in.
Or like this gem where Suga’s face is pasted over everyone else.
So, will Suga be joining the band for this big Grammys performance? Or could there be some unresolved issues from the band’s break back in 2019? Fans are worried that this could be the first sign of a BTS split, or maybe even a band breakup in 2020.

Still, BTS fans will have to wait until the Grammys to see if Suga opted out of the number, or if, perhaps he was just roped into taking the photo.
