Some Dancing with the Stars fans are hoping that Savannah Bananas star Jackson Olson will be eliminated from the competition this week due to a social media comment he left about his co-star Guillermo Rodriguez.
Why DWTS Fans Want Jackson Olson Eliminated
So far, Jackson Olson has made it through three weeks of the DWTS Season 35 competition with his partner Emma Slater. However, that could all change this week if fans choose not to vote for him over a comment he made on social media.
Over the weekend, Loco Beach Coconuts player Erik Ostberg made a video spoofing DWTS Season 35 contestant Guillermo Rodriguez’s recent performance, in which he ripped off his shirt to reveal a coconut bra and the words, “DANCING 4 THE PEOPLE.”
In a since-deleted comment on the video, OIson reportedly wrote, “But seriously how did you do this better than him with 2 hours of rehearsal.” This angered some fans, one of whom apparently wrote, “This behavior is disgusting. Goodbye Jackson. No respect for your cast mates.”
According to Kalshi, Olson’s odds for being eliminated during this week’s new DWTS episode jumped to 43 percent. Will fans forgive him for his comment?

Olson Apologizes in Video with Rodriguez
Although some fans might not be ready to forgive Jackson Olson for his comment, one person apparently has — Guillermo Rodriguez himself. The pair made a video on Tuesday in which they can be seen dancing together.
“To G and to all of you, from the bottom of my heart I am so sorry about my comment I made the other day and that it caused this much negativity,” Olson wrote. “I love this guy ❤️ now let’s do what this show is meant to be about.. DANCE.”
