Former America’s Got Talent judge Heidi Klum is returning to the show’s panel for the next live Quarterfinals episode, filling in for regular judge Simon Cowell. This week’s episode will also be three hours long.
Heidi Klum Is Returning to the AGT Panel
Heidi Klum was a judge on AGT for a number of seasons before leaving the show following Season 19 in 2024. This week, she’ll be returning to the panel as a guest judge for Season 21, filling in for Simon Cowell as he recovers from back surgery.
Klum will join Howie Mandel, Mel B, and Sofia Vergara on the panel this Tuesday night on NBC, as 11 more acts take the stage for the live Quarterfinals. The supermodel is the second guest judge to fill in for Cowell, as SNL star Kenan Thompson took his seat in the most recent performance episode.
Klum has plenty of experience as an AGT judge, as she first joined the show’s panel back in Season 8 and even appeared as a judge during spin-off shows such as AGT: The Champions and AGT: Fantasy League.
This week’s new episode of AGT Season 21 will be special for more reasons than just Heidi Klum’s return to the panel. Tuesday’s show will be three hours long instead of the usual two, featuring both performances and results in one night.
Rather than voting overnight for their favorite acts and learning the results on Wednesday night, viewers at home will make their picks during the first two hours of the show. The third hour will be devoted to announcing the results, as three acts make it through to the Semifinals.
By the end of Tuesday’s episode, the Top 16 acts will be determined. Four of those acts will be going straight to the Finals thanks to the Golden Buzzer, while the other 12 will compete in the live Semifinals.
