America’s Got Talent Season 21 will feature a new round called Judges’ Callbacks, which kicks off next week. It was just announced that this round will feature celebrity guest judges including Emma Bunton, Normani, and more.
AGT Judges’ Callbacks to Feature Guest Judges
Last week, auditions for AGT Season 21 wrapped up. Out of all the acts who received enough “yes” votes from the show’s judges to move on, only 44 of them will perform in the live shows. Ten of those spots are automatically taken by the Golden Buzzer recipients.
In order to narrow down the rest of the competition, a new round called Judges’ Callbacks has been introduced, in which a number of acts will spend time at the judges’ homes as they perform again for their chance to make it to the live shows.
According to Deadline, to help the judges’ make their decisions, several celebrity guests will appear during this round. Fifth Harmony star Normani and songwriter Poo Bear will join Simon Cowell at his Malibu home, while Mel B will be joined by her Spice Girls groupmate Emma Bunton (aka Baby Spice) in Leeds.
In Beverly Hills, Sofia Vergara will be joined by singer Sebastián Yatra and social media star Lele Pons. As for Howie Mandel, the acts will join him at his podcast studio and the iconic Laugh Factory, as comedian Nikki Glaser helps him make decisions.

When Does the New Round Premiere?
According to Deadline, 23 acts will be featured in the new Judges’ Callbacks round. The judges and their celebrity guests will work closely with their chosen acts to help them prepare for their performances.
This Tuesday night, NBC is airing a “Live Acts Revealed” special, in which fans will learn which acts were chosen to automatically move on to the live shows, and which will have to perform in the Judges’ Callbacks round.
Then next week, on August 4, the new round will kick off. It will air over two weeks, with the live shows officially starting on August 18. At this point, results shows will begin airing on Wednesday nights for the remainder of the season.
