Will Dancing with the Stars pro Gleb Savchenko be back in the ballroom for Season 35 of the show? According to the dancer himself, the answer is no. Fans spotted Savchenko’s response in a recent TikTok live with former DWTS pro Artem Chigvintsev.
Is DWTS Pro Gleb Savchenko Returning for Season 35?
A fan on the DWTS subreddit recently posted screenshots from a TikTok live featuring Artem Chigvintsev and Gleb Savchenko. In the video’s comments, a fan asked if the dancers would be returning to the show for Season 35.
Savchenko replied to this question in the comments (but not in the video), writing simply, “I’m not.” This got fans on Reddit talking, as the original poster also linked to a since-deleted TikTok video from pro Ezra Sosa saying it’s “that time of year where pros are starting to get calls for next season.”
Some fans pointed out that Savchenko also seemed to be out of the competition ahead of Season 34, but he still ended up joining the cast with celebrity contestant Hilaria Baldwin. Could the same thing happen this year?
Fans also speculated that Savchenko’s omission from the Season 35 cast could be a hint that a male dancer was named the winner of DWTS: The Next Pro, with one comment suggesting it could be Allen Genkin.
Fans on Reddit also speculated about personal reasons Gleb Savchenko might not be returning to DWTS for Season 35, pointing out that he’s currently in a custody battle with his ex-wife Elena Samodanova over her relocating their daughters to Hong Kong.
Savchenko recently requested temporary sole legal and physical custody of his 15-year-old daughter Olivia, claiming she does not wish to live in Hong Kong with her mother. The couple also shares an 8-year-old daughter named Zlata.
Savchenko and Samodanova have reportedly been ordered to attend a custody mediation on August 5, with a formal court hearing later that same month. It’s not clear if this has anything to do with the dancer’s apparent omission from the Season 35 cast.
What do you think? Are you sad to hear that Savchenko might not be back on DWTS this season? Let us know in the comments below.
