Musician Jelly Roll recently filed for divorce from his wife, podcaster Bunnie XO, after nearly 10 years of marriage. The couple reportedly separated last month.

TMZ broke the news on Monday that Jelly Roll (whose real name is Jason DeFord) filed for divorce from his wife Bunnie XO (whose real name is Alisa DeFord) last month in Tennessee. Source say it was a mutual decision for the couple.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, the couple’s date of separation was listed as May 9, a little over a week before the singer filed on May 18. He cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the filing. TMZ also reports that movers were recently spotted at the pair’s Nashville home.

The pair tiled the knot in August 2016, and their relationship hasn’t been without its drama. Bunnie was previously a sex worker who only quit the industry in 2023, and Jelly Roll welcomed a child with another woman shortly before their wedding. He has admitted to infidelity, and Bunnie has revealed that the pair split multiple times in the past.

Bunnie Recently Appeared in Her Husband’s Music Video

In March, Jelly Roll premiered the official music video for his song “Thorns,” in which he sings about how much his wife means to him. Bunnie XO actually appeared with her husband in the video.

A month before that, the singer accepted the Grammy for Best Contemporary Country Album for his 2024 release Beautifully Broken. During his speech, the star thanked his wife, saying, “I would have never changed my life without you. I’d have ended up dead or in jail. I’d have killed myself if it wasn’t for you and Jesus. I thank you for that.”
