America’s Got Talent returns to NBC on Tuesday, June 16 with a new set of acts. Among the new acts is novelty performer Akira. If you’re familiar with the international Got Talent franchise, you may recognize this contestant.
Akira Has Brought His Humor to Multiple Stages
American fans are in for a treat during America’s Got Talent‘s third episode. For fans who have never seen Akira’s act before, it can be described as, getting as close to nude as possible, while also not revealing anything at all.
This novelty performer first appeared on the Got Talent franchise in 2020, when he auditioned for season 15 of France’s Got Talent. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, Akira performed virtually from Japan, but was unfortunately cut before the deliberations.
Nearly four years later, Akira auditioned for Season 10 of Spain’s Got Talent. His performance on Spain’s Got Talent was buzzed off the stage, then further deliberated by judges. Their vote was two “yeses” and two “nos.”
In 2025, Akira performed on Britain’s Got Talentwhere he performed a similar act, and made it all the way to the semi-finals. This was the novelty acts first time ever making it past the audition round on Got Talent. In his second performance, he did a similar act, with more judge specific objects in front of his private areas.
After Britain’s Got Talent, Akira appeared on Italy’s Got Talent, where he earned the Golden Buzzer. Akira then reached the final on this Got Talent. In the end, he placed fifth.
At the time of writing, Talent Recap has not seen Akira’s humor filled performance on America’s Got Talent. We’re excited to see Akira on the American stage on Tuesday, June 16. Be sure to stay up to date with AGT so you don’t miss a minute of the 2026 competition.
