Britain’s Got Talent Series 19 returned over the weekend for the grand finale episode, as Hawkstone Farmers Choir was named this year’s winner. For their final performance, the singing group performed an original song.

Hawkstone Farms Choir Wins BGT Series 19

Hawkstone Farms Choir was established by TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson to support farmers with their mental health. Clarkson was present in the audience for the choir’s uplifting finale performance of an original song called “This Is Home.”

Judge Amanda Holden, who pressed the Golden Buzzer for the choir in their audition, praised their harmonies. KSI acknowledged the risk of performing an original song, but he told the group, “I need that on my playlist.”

Meanwhile, Alesha Dixon said the song “felt familiar” despite being original. Simon Cowell called the performance “absolutely stunning, heartfelt, joyous.” He predicted that the group might win the whole competition, and he was right.

At the end of the night, Hawkstone Farmers Choir was revealed to be the BGT Series 19 winner. The group made history, as this is the first time ever that a choir has won the show. The choir will receive a £250,000 prize and the opportunity to perform at the Royal Variety Performance.

Which Act Came in Second Place?

The BGT Series 19 runner-up was drone group Celestial, who put on an incredible show over London which looked back at iconic moments from the show’s history — including Susan Boyle’s audition and a hand pressing the Golden Buzzer.

The performance ended with the drones forming Simon Cowell’s face, making the judge smile as he watched from inside. The judges gave Celestial a standing ovation, and Amanda Holden teared up over the group’s tribute to the show.

As for third place, that spot went to dog act Anastasiia & Salsa. What do you think about the results of the BGT Series 19 finale? Do you agree with the winning act? Let us know in the comments below.
