Former Britain’s Got Talent star Susan Boyle recently gave an update about her love life. The 65-year-old singer insists that it’s “too late” for her to get engaged, but it sounds like she hasn’t ruled out dating entirely.
Susan Boyle Talks About Her Love Life
“Who said I am getting engaged? It’s too late for that,” Susan Boyle said in a recent interview with The Sun, responding to speculation about a diamond ring she wears. “I don’t have the time for a boyfriend. But watch this space.”
When Boyle auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent in 2009, at age 47, she famously revealed that she had never been kissed. The Scottish singer’s soaring performance of “I Dreamed a Dream” defied expectations, and she went on to finish the competition in second place.
In 2014, Boyle shared that she had found her first boyfriend, an American doctor. At the time, she called him a “nice guy” and a “perfect gentleman” who was around the same age as her.
“I’ll keep going, but I won’t use anything like Tinder,” Susan told The Sun of her plans for dating. “The only Tinder I know is a tinderbox. I don’t do that kind of cherry-picking online, and I won’t do that. I’d much rather find someone in a natural way.”

Boyle Recently Released a New Single
Last month, Boyle teased a new era on Instagram, debuting a chic blonde bob and sporting a luxurious fur coat. She ended up releasing a new single at the start of June, but it’s probably not what fans were expecting.
The new track, titled “Just One,” is a dance remix of “Just One Cornetto,” the classic jingle advertising the titular ice cream product. Boyle also appeared in a comical commercial for Scottish beverage company IRN-BRU, standing on a bridge and singing about “going commando.”
