American Idol is launching a new official podcast, and the host has been announced as Dancing with the Stars Season 34 alum Danielle Fishel. The podcast will premiere after next week’s first live episode airs on ABC.
Danielle Fishel to Host New American Idol Podcast
It was announced earlier this week that former Boy Meets World star Danielle Fishel, who competed on Season 34 of DWTS last year, will be the host of a new American Idol podcast. The podcast is set to debut on April 1, two days after the first Season 24 live show airs on ABC.
“Get ready to unpack the performances everyone’s talking about, plus exclusive interviews, behind-the-scenes tea, and expert takes on those judges’ critiques,” reads an Instagram post teasing the new project.
According to Variety, fans will be able to check out the podcast on Disney+, Hulu, and other podcast platforms. New episodes will follow the live shows each week as the season continues. Recently, the season’s Top 20 singers performed in Hawaii for America’s vote.
We’ll find out on Monday night which contestants made it through to the next phase of the competition, as live voting will be open during the two-hour show.
