American Idol Season 10 winner Scotty McCreery and runner-up Lauren Alaina recently reunited, almost 15 years after their run on the show in 2011. The pair recorded a couple of cute social media videos together, including a duet.

American Idol‘s Lauren Alaina, Scotty McCreery Reunite

This past weekend, both Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery performed at K92.3’s Jingle Jam in Florida. The singers appear to have taken the opportunity to catch up and film a couple of videos together for social media.

First, Alaina posted a video that includes a clip of the pair’s duet of “I Told You So” by Randy Travis, which they performed during their time on American Idol. Alaina and McCreery took a moment to recreate the duet in 2025, and they still sound great together.

“I’m forever thankful for those two kiddos who chased their dreams, so we can still do what we love today,” Alaina wrote in the video’s caption. “I can’t believe it’s been fifteen years since our lives changed forever. I’m so grateful to have started it all with this guy.”

The Pair Auditions for ‘TikTok Idol’

In another cute video, Alaina can be seen auditioning for “TikTok Idol.” Simon Cowell can be heard asking for her name and the song she’ll be singing. Alaina introduces herself and then calls McCreery over to help her decide what to sing.

McCreery suggests something by Keith Whitley, so the pair proceeds to team up on a quick rendition of “When You Say Nothing At All.” Afterward, Alaina jokes about McCreery, “I think he’ll win.”

“Do y’all think we’ll make it past Hollywood Week?!” Alaina wrote in the post’s caption. “Let me know how far you think we’ll go….”
