Katy Perry has seemed to confirm that she and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau are indeed dating. Rumors about the couple’s romance started swirling earlier this year, and they recently stepped out in public together.
Katy Perry Confirms Justin Trudeau Relationship
In July of this year, Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau were spotted having dinner together in Montreal, where Perry was performing her Lifetimes Tour. A few months later, paparazzi photos were published of the pair embracing on Perry’s yacht.
More recently, Perry and Trudeau were photographed smiling and holding hands as they celebrated the pop star’s birthday at the Crazy Horse cabaret in Paris. Then last week, during a concert in Prague, Perry confirmed that she’s dating someone.
“This guy is trying to get me to marry him and he has a ring in his hand,” Perry said of a fan in the crowd at her concert, according to Page Six. “No! I am dating someone else for crying out f–king loud.”
In July, Perry and her ex-fiancé Orlando Bloom confirmed their split. The pair got engaged in 2019 but never tied the knot. They share a 5-year-old daughter named Daisy Dove Bloom.

Trudeau’s Halloween Costume Points to Perry
In case fans needed even more confirmation that Perry and Trudeau are indeed a couple, the former prime minister made a winky reference to the singer in his Halloween costume. Trudeau dressed as a shark as part of a costume with his son Hadrien, who was a surfer.
Trudeau’s blue shark costume looked very similar to the costumes worn by dancers during Perry’s Super Bowl halftime performance in 2015. He only strengthened the reference in his caption on Instagram, writing, “I’m the shark (to his left).”
This is of course a reference to the “Left Shark” meme that went viral after the Super Bowl, referring to the dancer to the left of Perry on stage. Trudeau’s costume definitely seems like a nod to his current relationship with the pop star.
