Group B Performs in The Masked Singer Grand Ole Opry Night
This week’s episode opened with the Group B finalists teaming up to sing “Save A Horse (Ride A Cowboy)” by Big & Rich. After that, they delivered their individual performances for a chance to move on in the competition.
First, Pearl took the stage to sing “Here You Come Again” by Dolly Parton, showing off a great country voice and a fun personality. Guesses from the panel (including guest panelist Casey Wilson) about Pearl’s identity included Sheryl Crow, Trisha Yearwood, Kellie Pickler, and Carrie Underwood.
Later, Boogie Woogie performed “Something in the Water” by Carrie Underwood, as a tribute to his late mother. Guesses from the panel about Boogie Woogie’s identity included Ryan Tedder, Gavin DeGraw, and Josh Groban.
At the end of the show, Pearl earned enough votes to automatically join the “Lucky Six” with Group A contestants Coral and Paparazzo, while Boogie Woogie and Griffin competed in a Battle Royale for the second spot.

Griffin Unmasked as James Van Der Beek
During Wednesday’s show, Griffin took the stage to perform “Take Me Home, Country Roads” by John Denver. It was a solid performance, but not enough to send him straight into the “Lucky Six.” He had to go up against Boogie Woogie in a Battle Royale.
They both performed their own takes on “I Had Some Help,” by Post Malone and Morgan Wallen. Ultimately, Boogie Woogie earned a spot in the “Lucky Six,” and Griffin had to be unmasked. But first, the panel shared their final guesses.
They speculated that it might be everyone from Kyle Chandler to Chad Michael Murray to Josh Hartnett. However, only guest panelist Casey Wilson was correct in guessing that it was Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek under the mask.
During the show, Van Der Beek alluded to his recent cancer diagnosis, adding that he “would not have gotten through all of this without” his family. After his unmasking, his wife and kids ended up surprising him on stage in a sweet moment.
