Fans Think Heidi Klum Is Leaving America’s Got Talent
On Camera Audiences, which offers free tickets to attend AGT tapings, has listed Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Heidi Klum, and Howie Mandel as the judges for Season 20. However, NBC has yet to officially announce the judging panel for this year’s competition.
Fans have speculated that Klum might be leaving the show, following the news that she’ll be returning as the host of the beloved fashion design competition Project Runway when it moves to Freeform later this year.
“I guess an exit announcement from AGT is imminent now? I don’t see how she’ll do both along with all her other commitments,” wrote a fan on the AGT subreddit, adding that Project Runway‘s new slot on the Disney-owned Freeform might conflict with Got Talent‘s connection to NBC.
Another fan commented that Klum might be able to make it work “depending on the filming schedule.” The supermodel is also the host of Germany’s Next Topmodel, which is set to premiere a new season in February.
Klum first joined AGT as a judge in Season 8. She’s remained on the panel for every season since then, except for Season 14, when she and fellow judge Mel B were replaced by Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough. Klum returned the next season, alongside new judge Sofia Vergara.
Klum’s return as the host of Project Runway is a big deal for fans of the competition show, as the supermodel appeared on the show from its premiere in 2004 all the way to 2017. The show originated on Bravo, before moving to Lifetime for several seasons and then later returning to Bravo.
