Niall Horan Announces The Show: The Encore
Nearly five months after the release of The Show, Horan revealed that there will be a deluxe edition of his latest studio album. The Show: The Encore will have nine new versions of songs from the record and will be arriving on November 3.
Interestingly, the upcoming release will also launch special appearance from McAlpine for a collaborative rendition of “You Could Start a Cult.” In an Instagram post about the deluxe album, Horan shared his fascination about the “Ceilings” performer.
“I’ve been a huge fan of hers for a while now and am so grateful she was able to hop on the song and write a special new verse,” he wrote.
Fellow The Voice coach Legend will also be included in The Show: The Encore. The two worked together for a reimagined version of “The Show.”
For the remaining bonus tracks, Horan will drop live versions of “Science” and “Something in the Orange,” a cover of the Zach Bryan song. Furthermore, he will also release new live recordings from the Electric Picnic festival and Spotify Studios, as well as alternate versions of “Meltdown” and “On A Night Like Tonight” from Horan’s Vevo Extended Play session. A rendition of “Everybody Wants To Rule The World” by Tears of Fears is also among his new treats.
The digital edition of The Show: The Encore will be released by Capitol Records after All Souls Day. Vinyl and CD editions will follow on April 5, 2024.
He is Gearing Up to Embark on World Tour in 2024
In December, Horan will be concluding his second season on The Voice. However, while his stint on the reality singing competition, rest may not be an option anytime yet. The former One Direction member will be touring the world next year to play in more than 80 dates for The Show Live On Tour.
On October 12, Horan announced that the tour will be having an Asian Leg. Particularly, the pop singer will be performing four concerts in Asia in May 2024.
“I’m bringing The Show Live On Tour over to Asia next year ! The Tokyo date is on sale now and tickets for Singapore, Jakarta and Manila,” he wrote.
Soon after the exciting announcement, Horan then revealed that he’s adding more US tour dates for the North American leg of The Show. According to Capitol Records, they decided to attach more dates on the schedule “due to incredible demand.”
“I’m absolutely thrilled to share that I’ve added even more US dates to The Show Live On Tour ! This includes a second date at Madison Square Garden , one of my all time favourite venues in the world. I cannot believe the first date there sold out so quickly so had to add a second night,” he wrote in an Instagram post.
The Show debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart and on Billboard’s Vinyl Albums tally. Amazingly, Horan’s biggest week ever for vinyl sales and the largest week for Capitol Records in the post-1991 era. The album also topped the charts in Horan’s native Ireland plus the U.K., Australia, New Zealand, Holland and Belgium.
