Country star Jimmie Allen and his wife Alexis Gale recently announced that they have decided to end their relationship. The now-estranged couple share two kids together and another one on the way.
Jimmie Allen, Alexis Gale Are Separating
Apparently, this year will become an era of life transition for Allen. In an Instagram post on Friday, the country singer announced that he and Gale have made it clear to call their marriage quits.
“After much thought and reflection in recent months, Lex & I have made the decision to separate,” Allen wrote.
Despite this shocking news, the “Down Home” singer and Gale will be filing official divorce papers. At present, the two two kids together, Naomi, 3, and Zara,1. Allen also has an 8-year-old son, Aadyn, from a previous relationship.
Both natives of Milton, Delaware, the two kicked off their romance in 2019 when a relative introduced them to each other. They got engaged and secretly tied the knot in 2020. On May 27, 2021, the two formally wedded at The Lake House Inn in Perkasie, Penn.
They Are Set to Welcome New Baby This Year
According to Allen, they will also be welcoming another kid into the world amid their impending separation. Their third baby is expected to come in later 2023.
“As we navigate this life change, we can also share that we will be welcoming another child together later this year,” he wrote.
Allen continued and stated that their “number one priority” is still and shall always be the welfare of their kids. Additionally, the two assured that they will remain committed to “co-parenting with love and respect for one another.”
In agreement, Gale posted the same statement to her own Instagram account. She also shared a message on social media, saying letting go means entering a life that might be meant for a person.
