The heartwarming video is on Instagram by Subway Creatures and shows Yung’s elated reaction as Sheeran sings with him. The surprise duet quickly went viral, with fans of both artists sharing the video and expressing their excitement.

After the performance, Sheeran gifted Yung with two tickets to his upcoming show at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, which Yung later attended and described as “amazing” on Instagram.

Yung’s subway performances have earned him a large following on social media and have even led to an appearance on America’s Got Talent in 2017, where he made it to the semifinals. His rendition of Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” on the show went viral, with a clip of him singing the same song in a subway station garnering over five million views.

Sheeran‘s surprise appearance highlights the power of music to bring people together and uplift spirits. It also showcases the potential of social media to connect people and help them discover new talent.

The Latest Song From His Upcoming Album is a Reflection on Mental Health Struggles

In the latest preview for his new album Subtract, Sheeran appears to be reflecting on his own experiences with suicidal thoughts in his new song, “Salt Water.” The hitmaker, who has been open about his struggles with depression and anxiety, has often used music to explore his innermost feelings, and Salt Water seems to be no exception.

Sheeran has faced personal tragedies in recent years, including the death of his friend Jamal Edwards, a music producer, who died after a cardiac arrest brought on by taking cocaine and also drinking alcohol in February 2022.

The emotional release of Subtract will explore Sheeran’s grief after Edwards’ death and his depression and anxiety. Sheeran has described his best friend’s death as a turning point that prompted him to address his own struggles with mental health.
