The Jonas Brothers recently recalled some of the special yet nerve-wracking moments of their proposals to their wives. Apparently, Joe Jonas was the most nervous among the three as he needed to get one important approval before could pop the question to Sophie Turner.
Joe Jonas Reveals Why He’s Nervous to Propose to Sophie Turner
Prior to his official proposal to the Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner, Joe Jonas had to make sure that her dad approves of the idea. This certainly made the singer uneasy and panicky at the time.
“I was probably more nervous to ask her dad than I was to ask her,” he said. “It just kind of mumbles up.”
According to Joe, he’s already forgotten the exact lines he said to Turner’s dad. Nonetheless, he is evidently relieved that his now father-in-law gave a thumb up to the engagement plan.
“You just throw it out there and hope that the response is good, and you look back and you think, ‘What did I say?’ But luckily it went well,” he said.
For those who may not know, Jonas and Turner first sparked their romance in 2016, spending a Thanksgiving weekend together. In 2019, they surprised their fans when they decided to secretly wed after the Billboard awards.
Kevin, Nick Also Revealed Details About Their Proposal
As for Nick, he recounts feeling good during his proposal to Priyanka Chopra. Such memorable moment happened in July 2018, a few seconds after Chopra’s birthday.
“I wanted to propose like, the day after her birthday—birthday was on the 18th, I proposed on the 19th, but I just did it at basically, midnight to make it two separate days,” he said. “At that point, we’d had a had a bottle of wine, so I was a little loose and I was feeling… feeling good.”
Meanwhile, Kevin somehow had a different experience from the two. During his proposal to his now-spouse Danielle Jonas, the jacket where the ring was put didn’t immediately cooperate.
“I couldn’t get the ring out of my pocket in my jacket,” he said. “Literally could not get it out of my jacket. It was really bad.”
Despite the technical difficulty, the proposal was nevertheless done successfully. Kevin and Danielle married in 2009 and now have two kids together.
