‘DWTS’ Pros Jenna Johnson, Val Chmerkovskiy Welcome Baby Boy

Dancing with the Stars pros Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy have officially welcomed a baby boy together. The couple announced the happy news on Instagram this week, sharing that their son was born on January 10. This is their first child together.

On Wednesday, the couple shared a black and white photo on Instagram showing their hands cradling their baby’s hand, which is clasping Johnson’s thumb. In the caption, they wrote, “Our world is forever changed.”
They added the baby’s date of birth, which is January 10, 2023. The couple didn’t share the baby’s name, but we know from a previous gender reveal that they were expecting a boy. At the time, Johnson wrote, “SO EXCITED to be a boy mom.”
Last year, Johnson told People that she and Chmerkovskiy had both a boy name and a girl name chosen for three years. (The couple got married in 2019.) She shared, “Val actually picked out the name for our boy, so we have it.”

The Couple’s DWTS Friends Celebrated the News
Several of the couple’s friends from DWTS shared their happiness over the news that Johnson had given birth. Former contestant Nikki Bella wrote, “Chills!!!! So happy for you both! Sending you all so much love!!!!” Judge Derek Hough commented, “Wowza !!!!! This is perfect! So happy for you all. A new beautiful family begins.”
Chmerkovskiy’s brother and former DWTS pro Maksim commented three heart emojis. A few commenters replied to him, calling him “Uncle Maks.” Meanwhile, fellow pro Daniella Karagach, who is currently pregnant herself, wrote, “AHHH CONGRATULATIONS.”
Johnson has shared her pregnancy journey on Instagram, posting frequent photos of her growing baby bump. She also started a YouTube account to document the experience, from finding out she was pregnant to celebrating her baby shower.
