Cheryl Burke Reveals ‘DWTS’ Rejected Her Offer To Judge Or Host The Show

Television personality Cheryl Burke recently got candid about the real reason for her retirement from Dancing With The Stars. Apparently, the show indeed denied her request to upgrade her role into either a judge or a host.
Cheryl Burke Failed to Get a Promotion on DWTS
During the January 4, 2023 episode of Talk Is Jericho podcast, Cheryl Burke revealed why she didn’t see herself coming back to DWTS anymore. According to her, the competition series has been well-aware about her hopes for a change of role in the show. Such desire became clearer after former head judge Len Goodman announced his departure in the series.
In past interviews, Burke has been honest in saying that she wants to keep her contract until the next season but only either as a judge or host. However, the professional dancer was denied the opportunity.
“They don’t see a place for me,” Burke said. “Whether that’s at the judge’s table or as a possible co-host, and that’s okay.”
Nonetheless, Burke said that she is still grateful for the experience. In fact, she may have taken the DWTS rejection as a sign to move forward. As a newly divorced woman, the dancer wants to “evolve in general.” This is ultimately why she withdrew from the ballroom dance competition.
Co-DWTS Cast Member Amanda Kloots is Her First Guest in Diving Deep
While Burke has ended her journey in DWTS, she happily revealed this January that she’s been brewing a fresh project. Diving Deep is the newest diamond painting talk show in town where Burke invites significant people in their respective fields to talk about life’s vulnerabilities. Its premiere episode has recently premiered, with Amanda Kloots becoming her first guest.
“We dive deep as Amanda gets real and honest about what she actually thinks of the haters on social media and why facing your fears is the only way to go,” she wrote on Instagram.
Primarily, the two talked about Kloots’ life after loss of her husband, Nick Cordero. Furthermore, Kloots opened up about being a single mom and how Dancing With The Stars helped her cope. Viewers can watch this episode in Burke’s Youtube channel.
