Bob Saget’s final film, Daniel’s Gotta Die is set to premiere at the Annual Austin Film Festival. For the fans who want to see him star in a film one last time, there is a special screening at the 2022 Austin Film Festival.
Saget’s Final Film Daniel’s Gotta Die to be Screened at the Film Festival
The comedian’s untimely death came as a shock for everyone when the unfortunate news broke out back in January. Luckily for the fans, Daniel’s Gotta Die will premiere at the Annual Austin Film Festival included in the highlights.
Saget’s final movie is a comedy about a family man named Daniel who tries to reconnect with his estranged family. When Daniel’s family learns there is an inheritance, they all plot to kill him for his money. The movie is written by Matthew Dressel and directed by Jeremy LaLonde.
“Bob’s passing came as a shock to the entire Daniel’s Gotta Die team.” LaLonde said. “It’s with great sadness that he never got to see it finished.”
Writer Dressel also chimed in, saying “If there’s one person who deserved to see this film it’s Bob and I will always be sad he cannot.”
Although Saget will not be here to see it, he has always ensured his fans’ laughter and audiences will get to enjoy his final performance. Along with Saget, the film also stars Joel David Moore, Jason Jones, Carly Chaikin, and Iggy Pop. Daniel’s Gotta Die will premiere on October 28, 2022, at the Austin Film Festival.
Saget’s Memorable Appearance on The Masked Singer
During season four of The Masked Singer, Saget made a short but memorable run on the show as the Squiggly Monster. Even though he appeared in two episodes, the costume he wore is so deceptive that the panelists were conflicted about who was behind the mask. In the end, most of them guessed his identity right.
Following his unmasking, he delivered a heartwarming speech. The comedian loved his Squiggly Monster costume, he once joked about being robbed of his rightful win.
Later, he appeared as a guest panelist on I Can See Your Voice, with his good friend Ken Jeong. Saget’s humor and positivity will be sorely missed by countless fans around the world.
