Former America’s Got Talent judge Howard Stern allegedly talked about his upcoming project in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) during his daily SiriusXM radio show. The comedian left his microphone on and revealed the details of his attachment to the project.

Howard Stern Leaks Involvement in the Marvel Cinematic Universe

On June 29, Howard Stern allegedly left his microphone on, revealing that he’s apart of an upcoming Marvel film. Within the viral clip, the comedian claims he’s working on Doctor Doom with Marvel. This character is apart of a Marvel’s upcoming expansion of heroes and villains. Doctor Doom is the main antagonist in Marvel’s Fantastic Four.

“They’re going over the schedule with me, and it’s going to suck,” Stern said during a commercial break. “I told you, I’m going to do Doctor Doom. That’s the thing. But believe me, I’m f*cking miserable about it…I called Robert Downey, Jr. and I was asking him acting techniques.”

At the end of the viral clip, Stern is heard asking if the other person has a phone number for someone named Jon. Fans believe that Stern was talking about Jon Favreau, who has worked with both Disney and Marvel in the past.

Is a Doctor Doom Movie on The Way?

Since Sterns “hot mic” session, his involvement in the MCU has gained traction online. While many fans have been quick to say they’re not keen on Stern playing Doctor Doom, others have broken down the statement. Some people believe that Stern is apart of the Doctor Doom project, but isn’t playing the character since he didn’t specify.

At this time, it’s unknown how Doctor Doom will make his way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Before this leak, the character has been rumored to appear in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever as a minor role. Fans believe that Legion creator Noah Hawley could have hinted at this project in 2019. At the time, he revealed that he was working on a project centered around a Marvel villain. He described this film as “a kind of Cold War, geopolitical movie” that takes place in Laterveria.

Fans are unsure if this was an elaborate prank from the comedian, or if he was entirely serious. They’re hoping to receive some type of insight about this project.

Stern wouldn’t be the first America’s Got Talent celebrity to join the MCU in 2022. Ahead of his involvement, host Terry Crews acted as Centurion Tal Marik on Epcot’s Guardians of The Galaxy “storycoaster.”
