This month FLETCHER has been popping up in different cities as part of her “Meet Her At The Bar” pride month celebration. As part of this celebration FLETCHER performs at four culturally significant, women-owned queer bars across the country. This program supports the bars and raises funds for GLAAD’s Rapid Response Initiative and Communities of Color Program.

Fletcher broke through into the music industry with her 2019 release “Undrunk.” Reports state that “Undrunk” was the fastest-rising song on pop radio for a new artist since 2014. In present day, FLETCHER is an up and coming artist.

FLETCHER’s Journey on The X Factor

FLETCHER auditioned for the inaugural season of The X Factor singing “Alone” by Heart. At the time of her audition, she shared that she was 17 years old and had been classically training since the age of six. The judges thought her voice was good, but not great. Simon Cowell stopped her mid-audition, saying her voice wasn’t distinct.

FLETCHER went on to be rejected in the bootcamp round, but came back in a girl group formed by Cowell and mentored by Paula Abdul. She was formerly apart of Lakoda Rayne, alongside Dani Knights, Paige Elizabeth Ogle, and Hayley Orrantia. The group stayed together throughout the competition, performing hit songs like “Somebody Like You” by Adele, “You Belong With Me” by Taylor Swift, and more. They were eliminated during week five of the competition, they placed ninth overall.

After their elimination, Lakoda Rayne created a YouTube channel where they covered popular songs. In 2012, Paige departed the group to attend college. From there, the trio went on to release their first single “Emergency Brake” in September 2012. The music video for the single has over 134,000 views in present day.

After the release of “Emergency Brake,” Lakoda Rayne went missing in action on social media. At the time, FLETCHER began college at New York University, while Hayley decided to pursue acting after being casted on The Goldbergs. At the time, Dani focused on her music and family. In 2014, Fletcher confirmed that the group disbanded.

In 2015, FLETCHER released her debut solo single “War Paint,” which reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Emerging Artist Chart. She signed a record deal with Capitol Records in 2018 and went on to tour around the world.
