Meet The X Factor‘s Biggest Star, Fifth Harmony
Out of everyone on The X Factor, the most successful act was a girl group Fifth Harmony. Just like One Direction, the members of this group auditioned as solo contestants, then were put together by Simon Cowell. Fifth Harmony was made up of Ally Brooke, Normani, Dinah Jane, Lauren Jauregui, and Camila Cabello. After their time on The X Factor, they signed a joint record deal with Cowell’s label Syco Records and L.A. Reid’s label Epic Records.
The new girl group found instant fame after The X Factor. In their time as a group, all three of their studio albums charted within the Top 10 of the Billboard 200. Some of their awards include an American Music aWard, three MTV European Awards, three Guinness World Records, and more. Billboard announced them as the biggest girl group in the 2010’s.
In December 2016, Fifth Harmony became a four-piece act with Camila Cabello’s departure. Cabello has shared that she left the group to explore a solo career. Two years later, Fifth Harmony went on a hiatus. The hiatus was announced so the four remaining members could pursue solo projects of their own.
