Team Blake star Wendy came in second place last season on The Voice, behind the winning group Girl Named Tom. Lana made it to the Top 8, also on Team Blake, before being eliminated. Over the weekend, the singers shared a cute moment backstage after Wendy’s Opry performance.
“I sang ‘Jolene’ tonight, but she’s gonna help me sing it right now,” Wendy said in a video posted to social media. The pair then launched into a quick duet of the Dolly Parton classic, which Wendy previously sang on the show.
Before her performance at the Opry on Saturday, Wendy posted on Instagram that she was “EXTREMELY excited to be back at my home away from home.” The venue also shared a video of Wendy in her dressing room singing “Jolene” to Parton’s photograph.

What Has Wendy Been Up to Since the Show?
It’s good to see Wendy without casts or a sling on her arm. She broke her elbow and fractured a wrist when she fell on stage during a results show on The Voice last season and had to undergo surgery with subsequent physical therapy.
Wendy has been keeping busy since her time on the show, performing several times at the Grand Ole Opry and other venues, including Lincoln Center in New York. She also made her debut at Birdland Jazz Club earlier this month, which she called a “dream come true.”
The singer also released the single “Love Is a Painful Thing” earlier this year. You can follow Wendy on Instagram to find out about upcoming appearances, and on TikTok to keep up with her life and music.
