America’s Got Talent host Terry Crews has a new book coming out soon called Tough, and he also recorded the audiobook. The book, out later this month, is a memoir that explores Crews’ relationship to strength throughout his life.

Terry Crews Recorded Audiobook for New Memoir

Earlier this week, Crews posted a photo on Instagram from his time recording to audiobook for Tough. He’s seated in front of a tablet and a microphone with a pair of headphones on. Crews wrote in the caption, “Recording this was a lot of fun.”

He encouraged fans to pre-order the audiobook, whose full title is Tough: My Journey to True Power. According to the book’s description, it’s about “his lifelong obsession with strength—and how, after looking for it in all the wrong places, he finally found it.”

The book explores Crews’ journey “uprooting deeply ingrained toxic masculinity” and challenging “taboos that ask men to be outwardly tough while leaving them inwardly weak.”

The book is available April 26. As he shared on Instagram, Crews will be going on a book tour starting April 24, featuring appearances in New York City, Los Angeles, and virtually, including talks and book signings.

This Isn’t Crews’ First Book

Tough isn’t the first book Crews has published. In 2014, he released a book called Manhood: How to Be a Better Man-or Just Live with One. Earlier this year, he and his wife Rebecca King-Crews also published a book called Stronger Together: How Fame, Failure and Faith Transformed Our Lives.

Crews has also been involved in children’s books. He illustrated the book Come Find Me, published in 2018 and written by his former Washington Redskins teammate Ken Harvey. Later this year, he’ll be releasing a graphic novel with illustrator Cory Thomas called Terry’s Crew.

Crews will be back as the host of America’s Got Talent when Season 17 premieres May 31 on NBC.
