Luke Bryan visited Good Morning America today to discuss his upcoming residency at Resorts World Casino Las Vegas, American Idol, and new music. The country singer was all smiles as he took a break from rehearsals for Friday’s show launch. Bryan has nine shows planned for his upcoming residency. He joins his fellow American Idol judges Katy Perry and Lionel Richie who both have Las Vegas residencies as well.
The American Idol judge is ready to give the people of Vegas a good show. This is the first time that Bryan has done an extended residency in Sin City. He is mentally preparing himself to remember that he is there for work and not to hit the tables.
Now on his fifth season as an Idol judge, Bryan isn’t holding his breath for Perry to give him advice when it comes to performing on the Vegas stage. Perry’s Play Las Vegas show kicked-off earlier this year.
“She doesn’t help me at all,” Bryan jokingly said. “Anything Katy does creates more anxiety. She will say ‘wow, big stage, be ready.'”
The busy country singer joked with the GMA hosts as they got the inside scoop on his career. Fans of Bryan can expect to see his mother Leclaire join her famous son in Vegas. The 74 year old has become a popular fixture across social media for her youthful spirit. When asked about his mom coming to see him in Vegas, Bryan confessed that his “credit cards” will be on fire because of her.
‘American Idol’ Season 20
American Idol Season 20 premieres on February 27. Fans are eagerly waiting to watch their favorite three judges discover new amazing talent.
“That’s the beauty of American Idol and the talent out there, it just resets every year,” Bryan says about filming the new season. “We’ve got a couple of contestants that might be the biggest stars we have ever had. We are excited for America to get to know them and for America to start voting.”
Bryan has been on a roll recently. Besides his Las Vegas show and American Idol, the singer just released the video for his song “Up” and announced his Raised Up Right Tour kicking-off this Summer.
