Blake Shelton is Dying For Gwen Stefani To Hear This Cover from ‘The Voice’!

During Ariana Grande’s first live show on The Voice, her team absolutely crushed their performances. Bella DeNapoli got her started when she took to the stage to sing “Sweet Escape” by former The Voice coach Gwen Stefani.

I immediately knew that Bella was going to kill this performance and lets just say she did not disappoint. This singer has shown that she is a powerhouse vocalist with an extraordinary range within each round of this competition. Tonight she took it one step further. You’d think she would’ve been nervous to perform this song in front of Stefani’s husband, Blake Shelton, but she performed flawlessly.

Carson Daly immediately turned to Shelton since he’d be the best to ask about her performance. He started by mentioning the fact that Grande told the artists that Bella was singing this song while at Stefani’s concert over the weekend.

“I gotta tell you, I’m dying for Gwen to hear this, it’s a great job by the way,” said Shelton. “I mean there’s taking a song and making it your own and then then there’s like she and Akon are going to have to add you to the copyright… it’s so good.”

Stefani would definitely be obsessed with this cover of her song. Bella made it her own, but not unrecognizable. Grande said once again that Bella would be the perfect pop singer, she’s not wrong.

Team Ariana’s First Live Show

Before introducing Team Ariana to the stage, Daly poked fun at the fact that Shelton is a veteran to the show. The newest coach on The Voice showed up to her first live show in a multi-colored Versace dress. She is giving strong 13 Going on 30 vibes with the dress, hair, and makeup.

“Now Team Ariana is after that, performing live for the very first time, it’s Ariana’s first night on a live show,” said Daly. “Fun fact it’s Blake Shelton’s 232nd live show tonight.”

The coaches laughed along with Daly’s joke. Shelton is the veteran when it comes to The Voice compeition. He has been on this show for the past decade, I’d hope that he’s been on at least 200 live shows. The show recently hit it’s 500th episode, so it might add up.
