The Wildcards just keep coming on season six of The Masked Singer! This latest one is a terrifying, energetic character—the Jester, but he has quite the unique voice too! So who is the celebrity under the mask? What are the factors that prove his identity? Let’s take a look at all the clues and make our prediction.
Clues on The Masked Singer Season 6
The Jester started his clues by popping out of a jack in the box and saying he’s the “wildest Wildcard yet!” He says he’s been called an “icon.” You could say he’s “changed the course of history.” Jester is seen hanging upside-down from the ceiling. He’s even been voted one of the “100 Most Influential People of All Time.” He scans over with five stuffed chickens, then scares one of the men in black dressed like a chicken.
But Jester has “also been called a scoundrel.” He scares another one of the men in black dressed like a clown. He’s offended heads of state and been banned from famous venues. But in reality, he’s not a bad guy. That’s why he’s on The Masked Singer! The Jester is shown with satellites floating around him.
After his performance, the Jester revealed another clue from the time machine: a beat-up, patterned jacket circa 1975. He explained, “This is pure style.”

Popular Guesses for The Masked Singer Jester
Robin said the jacket reminded him of Dee Snider from Twister Sister. Guest panelist Leslie Jordan thought it might be a comedian like Ricky Gervais. Ken guessed it must be a rocker, maybe Roger Daltrey from The Who.
Online, fans are split between the Jester being a rock star or a comedian. Many people are guessing Jack Black, Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osborne, or Johnny Rotten AKA John Lydon from the Sex Pistols from their first impression.
Who is the Jester on The Masked Singer?
Now we know it can’t be Alice Cooper because the song Jester sang first was an Alice Cooper song. And his voice just seems a little too distinct to be a comedian trying to sing, so we have to go with a rock star.

John Lydon AKA Johnny Rotten from The Sex Pistols!
Yes, this iconic rocker is gracing The Masked Singer stage with his huge personality and voice. Here’s how the clues prove his identity!
Jester mentioned being an icon, which John Lydon is. He is best known for being the lead singer of The Sex Pistols and for his outspoken personality, rebellious image and fashion sense. Him referencing being one of the 100 Most Influential People of All Time could be pointing to The Sex Pistols landing #58 on the “100 Greatest Artists of All Time” by Rolling Stone or his position on BBC’s list of “100 Greatest Britons”.
He has definitely offended heads of state. His song, “God Save the Queen,” criticized British royalty and was one of the most banned songs in the country’s history, even getting banned from BBC. The Sex Pistols were also banned from performing at some venues in the UK, including the Nashville and the Marquee.
The satellites in the clue package are a nod to The Sex Pistols’ song called “Satellite.” And finally, the jacket after his performance makes sense for John Lydon too. John wore a lot of tartan/plaid and that was a big trend in the punk scene. John also joined The Sex Pistols in 1975, which explains the year that accompanied the jacket.

Without a doubt it is John Lydon AKA Johnny Rotten. To hear his voice oh, and to hear how he rolls the tongue when he sings, is without a doubt Johnny Rotten. The only thing I ask is that he’s not on much longer because he’s scaring the crap out of me with that outfit. But he’s going to go far I think.
Without a doubt it’s John Lydon AKA Johnny Rotten. You got some of the old videos and he rolls his tongue exactly the same, and the voice is very distinctive and sounds just like him. On that note he is scaring me to death. and I hope he gets voted off soon because that costume scares the crap out of me. LOL

It would also make sense for JL to sing an Alice Cooper song because when he auditioned for the Sex Pistols he did it singing along to Alice Cooper’s “I’m Eighteen” (so excited!!)

100% John Lydon/Johnny Rotten. Every single clue, every choice on the costume, there is no doubt. People who do not think it is him must not know who he is or anything about him.
According to Wikipedia, Jack Black’s parents were satellite engineers, so the clue about satellites works for him, too.
I enjoyed the Jesters performance 4 the rock aspect, but I would have to rate it a solid 4/ 10 since the song was not meet my fancy even though I hate school like most of us; It just wasn’t like a song you would hear at a concert. Instead it was more of something you would expect to see at a kids sing -along. On the other hand , I liked how the theme was fun and zany.
