New The Voice coach Ariana Grande knows what a difference therapy can make, and she wants her fans to have an opportunity to try it. The singer announced that she’s teaming up with the company BetterHelp to give away $1 million in free therapy.

Grande shared the news on social media Tuesday, with a note explaining the special offer. The 28-year-old has been open about how therapy helped her, and she wants fans to experience the same thing.

Ariana Grande Offers Fans Free Therapy

Fans who sign up on the BetterHelp website can get a free month and 15 percent off a second month with a licensed therapist. You won’t be charged if you cancel within one month. The company made it clear that Grande is not making money off this partnership.

In her announcement, the singer wrote that “therapy should not be for a privileged few but something everyone has access to.” She added that she hopes to inspire fans “to dip a toe in, to feel okay asking for help, and to hopefully rid your minds of any sort of self judgement in doing so.”

Grande wrote that “healing is not linear or easy but you are worth the effort and time.” The singer has firsthand experience with therapy, and has said in the past that it saved her life.

Grande Had a Positive Experience with Therapy

In 2018, Grande responded to a tweet joking about wanting to meet the singer’s therapist. She wrote that “therapy has saved my life so many times.” She told fans that they shouldn’t be afraid to ask for help, and that they “don’t have to be in constant pain.”

Grande added that she still has work to do, “but it’s a start to even be aware that it’s possible.” She’s also been open about the PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) she suffered following a bombing at her Manchester concert in 2017. She even shared an image of her brain scan on Instagram in 2019.

Grande has recently been filming The Voice Blind Auditions for Season 21. Earlier this year, she tied the knot with her now-husband Dalton Gomez, a real estate agent.
