AGT Season 9 Winner Mat Franco Brings Magic to Las Vegas
Reading Time: 2 minutes
As the first magician ever to win NBC’s America’s Got Talent, Mat Franco takes an innovative and fresh approach to magic-making. He combines both old and new tactics in his Las Vegas show show “Mat Franco: Magic Reinvented Nightly.”
In 2014, Mat Franco rose above hundreds of thousands of acts to become the first magician in history to win America’s Got Talent, ultimately claiming the $1 million prize. Now, after a yearlong pause, he is back to continue production of his successful Las Vegas show “Magic Reinvented Nightly.”
AGT winner Mat Franco Opens in Las Vegas
Franco’s show opened in 2019 at The Linq Hotel and Casino, but was shut down in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Before its temporary closure, the show was such a hit that it received a Best of Las Vegas Gold Winner award by the Las Vegas Review-Journal in 2019.
The 90-minute spectacular returned to The Linq Hotel and Casino within the Mat Franco Theater for its first show back on April 29. The show is reinvented nightly as Franco completely revamps the production ahead of his return to the Las Vegas Strip. There were plans to reopen the show on December 17, but growing restrictions and limited capacities made it difficult to continue on with those plans.
What makes Mat Franco’s magic show different is he strives to never put on the same show twice. He immerses the audience in his magic acts and incorporates crowd–guided improv. Franco’s magic show is appropriate for the whole family as audience members must be at least five years old to attend the show. It’s a truly interactive experience that is sure to bring joy to all who attend.
