Anna Was Hospitalized With Sepsis
Before her audition, Anna Grace shared that she had a blood infection when she was 17 and had to be admitted to the hospital. “It caused me to go into septic shock,” she said, adding that the doctors said she “might not make it through the night.”

Anna’s gallbladder was removed, and she was in and out of the hospital for eight months. She was inspired to learn guitar and piano, saying she “would not be here” without music.
Last year, Anna posted a photo from her time in the hospital, sharing that she was “843 days sepsis free” and adding, “sepsis, you didn’t win.”
She’s Active In Her Church
Before her audition on The Voice, Anna said it was the first time she was performing outside of church. Anna is reportedly a worship leader at her church, and worked at a children’s summer camp called Camp Zoom.
On Instagram, Anna posted a photo of herself performing at church, calling it “my happy place.” Her bio also references Psalm 23, which begins, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”

Anna Has Over 100,000 TikTok Followers
Anna Grace currently has 117,000 followers on TikTok, where she posts videos of herself singing and playing guitar. Last year, she even posted an original song she wrote “about pretending to be ok.”

Anna also posted a video of herself reacting to a call from The Voice letting her know she would be doing a blind audition for the coaches.
She’s Also A Dancer
In a TikTok video, Anna put a song called “Irish Dancer Anthem” over photos and clips of her time performing Irish stepdance. According to her bio on the NBC website, Anna “choreographs and competes in Irish dance.” We wonder if she’ll incorporate her dance skills into future performances.
Anna Got A Message From Brynn Cartelli
Before her audition, Anna Grace said she most wanted to work with Kelly Clarkson, and said The Voice Season 14 winner Brynn Cartelli was her favorite Team Kelly contestant.
Brynn sent Anna a video message wishing her luck in her audition. “You story is incredibly inspiring, so I hope you kill it out there. I’m here cheering you on,” she said. Anna said her message “means everything to me.”
Anna will go up against one of her fellow Team Kelly contestants in the Battle round later this season. We can’t wait to hear what she does.
