Nala Price was very excited to be at The Voice auditioning in front of some of her idols. She performed a pop version of the ‘Send My Love’ by Adele that showed off her talented vocals. Nala Price Impresses the Judges

Levine told Stefani before the audition began that he is dying to press his button already. His wish was about to come true with Nala Price from Sebring, Florida. Nala gets Levine’s attention when she performs a pop version of the famous Adele song. She shocks them when she hit a high note that got the judges excited to work with her.

Alicia Keys and Blake Shelton didn’t turn their chairs for the singer, but did compliment her strong voice for such a young age. Stefani and Levine on the other hand really wanted her on their team and began fighting for her. Stefani felt that there was a connection between them and even told Nala she felt that she was looking at her while she sang.

Shelton decides to help his girlfriend, now fiancé, Stefani out.

“I’m actually happy for you that Gwen Stefani turned around for you cause you actually have a real shot at this now cause she turned around for you,”  he said.

Levine was not going down without a fight. He explained to Nala that he really wants to coach her during her time on the show.

“This girl has ice water in her veins she is ready to do this especially only being 17, you’re amazing.” The singer had a tough choice, but decided to go with the Maroon 5 singer as her coach.

“Any Adele song is a tough song, but I thought she was really great and it’s outstanding what she can do with her voice I had to just try to do whatever I could to win her,” Levine said.

Nala’s Short Time on the Show

Even though the judges were impressed by her audition, her time on the show was very short. After her audition, she performed “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” against Josh West where she was eliminated. People felt that she should have been chosen over Josh. In the comments, one viewer wrote “Nala won this in my opinion.”

Following The Voice, she continues to sing and posts covers as well as performances on YouTube for her 3,000 followers. Right now she has a new song with Michael Basco called “Brand New.”
