Lambros Garcia Auditions for AGT Season 18
In a preview of Tuesday night’s new episode of AGT Season 18, Lambros can be seen taking the stage in a sparkly green jacket. He proceeds to show off some energetic dance moves and plenty of personality. The clip is brief, but the panel and audience are clearly wowed by his talent.
You might have seen Lambros in a previous promo for the new season, in which he can be heard telling the judges, “I have a really big passion for dance. I get a little bit bullied at school, and I’m never gonna let anyone stop me.”
“You made new friends with us right here,” judge Heidi Klum tells Lambros in the clip.
The young dancer, who is from Long Island, dances with Mossa Dance Academy and was named the American Dance Awards Young Dancer of the Year in 2021. An online video from the same year shows Lambros dancing to Billy Porter’s “Love Yourself,” which is what he danced to for his AGT audition.
Producers Invited Lambros to Audition
In an interview with Newsday, Lambros shared how he ended up auditioning for the show. Apparently, producers saw a video of Lambros dancing and contacted Natalie Mossa Wright, who owns the Mossa Dance Academy, to invite him to audition.
“I feel like this could inspire a lot of people,” Lambros told the publication about his performance to “Love Yourself,” which was choreographed by his instructor Sarah Jo Fazio.
The young dancer shared that he was “very, very nervous” to audition for the AGT judges, but he also felt “excited because that stage has been stepped on by the most talented people in the world.” Lambros called it an “amazing feeling.”
You can see Lambros’ full audition when AGT Season 18 returns Tuesday night at 8/7c on NBC.
