Will Megyn Kelly Be Replaced On ‘The Today Show’ By Kelly Clarkson?

You’ve probably heard by now that conservative journalist Megyn Kelly is most likely losing her job on the Today Show. So, the question is: Who will replace her? It seems that one of the candidates being discussed comes from inside the NBC family: Kelly Clarkson.
This week Megyn Kelly made national news when she seemed to be defending the practice of blackface as a Halloween costume. The response was immediate and angry. Kelly apologized but it seems that her apologies were not enough for the powers that be at NBC. The network is reportedly meeting today with Kelly to discuss what to do. More than likely she is out, though they are still going to pay her 69 million dollars. If they do get rid of her, who will be her replacement. Kelly Clarkson is an obvious choice. As a coach on The Voice, she is already part of the NBC company. They were also in talks with Clarkson to do a daytime talk show. Putting her in Megyn Kelly’s slot on the Today Show just makes sense. The spot previously belonged to Al Roker but it was given to Megyn Kelly when she left Fox News last year. It was a controversial move, since she herself is pretty controversial.
Which is the beauty of Kelly Clarkson as her replacement. No one hates Kelly Clarkson. She is very much NOT controversial and is a lot of fun to watch. She’s brought new life into The Voice with her vivacious personality and passion. I for one think NBC can get clear of this catastrophe with Megyn Kelly if they bring on Kelly Clarkson.
